You guys!! This has been one of my longest and most favorite makeovers so far! For the two years we have been living in our house, our room tended to be a dumping ground for everything - since it's the only baby proof locked room, we could throw things in there and deal with them later if they weren't baby safe. This meant things got piled up and it wasn't the bedroom haven I had dreamed of. There's literally no better feeling in the world then finally getting alllll the kids to sleep in their own bed, turning off the bright lights, climbing into bed with two pieces of chocolate and a kindle and cozying up before falling asleep. Our bedroom was NOT giving that vibe...until now.
First step was the bed itself. I really invested in high quality bedding here. I wanted something that got cozier with every wash rather than more worn out. I loved the color and feel of this duvet sheet and got the matching set. I am not a fan of making the bed in the morning, so keeping it super simple was key. I simply can't be bothered with a top sheet or throw pillows. A duvet allows me to wash it and eliminates the need for a top sheet I just love the simplicity of this look. I added the scones on the sides with remote light bulbs to add some warm lighting (no hard wiring required) and these sides tables and artwork just complete the look.
