When I was little, my dad used to say I was 100% girl. He was 100% correct. I loved and still love all things girly, pink, Barbie, sparkles, and it’s something my daughter inherited from me as well. Whether it’s genetics or proximity, I can’t be sure. When we bought our home, the room that was going to be hers was completely blue and plain (before photos below). I knew I wanted to turn it into a pretty pink little girl dream room – one I would have killed for as a kid.
I scoured Pinterest for months, hunting for the perfect pink color and wallpaper. I paid close attention to tones and shades, wanting everything to be just right. I scrolled Facebook Marketplace every night to find the perfect toddler bed and vintage decor to feature in her room. I envisioned a space that felt cozy and welcoming, a place where we could sit and play, and where her imagination could run wild.
Transforming this room has been a labor of love, a blend of my childhood dreams and my daughter’s whimsical tastes. The perfect shade of pink on the doors and trim set the tone – soft, warm, and inviting, like a hug in a color. I found the most adorable wallpaper with delicate patterns that added just the right amount of charm and character.
Every piece of furniture and decor was carefully chosen. The toddler bed, with its vintage flair, felt like it had a story to tell. I chose the bed from Facebook Marketplace and the dresser was from Target that I had painted and added these adorable bow handles to add. The lamp was a estate sale find, but I'll likely replace it when I find something that better fits the room. The wallpaper is my favorite touch.
This piece of art hung in my Grandma's house while I was growing up. When she passed, it was the only thing I wanted from her estate. Now, seeing it hang in my daughter's room is so magical and special.
This bookshelves are the perfect scalloped match to the room and I painted them with the same paint to match the doors. This little bench was a fun thrift find too.
I created this fun little reading corner with this ottoman and these hooks is where we store her backpack and outfit the next day
This canvas sign is one of my favorite pieces to this room, such a sweet touch to a little girl's room.
