First Day of Preschool Gift Box

My first baby is starting preschool this fall and I am NOT OKAY. Time flies by way too fast. I wanted to make starting school a fun and exciting event, so I created a special gift box for her to open the day before. This way, she can get excited about her big day with some fun and exciting school supplies.

One of the traditions my mom had for us growing up was getting us a new backpack and lunch box at the start of each school year. It made everything exciting and fun, something to look forward to. This year, I got my daughter this adorable matching pink set.

Lunch Essentials

To go in her lunch box, I got a new pink water bottle and some bento boxes for her lunches. I let her decorate them with lots of stickers from this huge sticker bundle. Decorating her lunch gear made it even more personal and fun for her. Check out this blog post all about lunch ideas

Custom Name Stickers

She's still at the age where everything needs to be labeled with her name on it. I got a huge pack of these name stickers & this stamp to make labeling everything super easy and cute.

Books About the First Day of School

I got her a few books to read about the first day of school. I thrifted some and borrowed the rest from the library, but here's a list of my favorites that you can find on Amazon:

Extra Tips for a Smooth Start

• Morning Routine: Practice the morning routine a few days before school starts to make the first day smoother, but instead of school drop off, go out for Donuts! I talked about the whole breakdown of a practice day in this blog post!
• Talk About It: Talk about what to expect at school and read those recommended books so they know what to expect.
• Celebrate: Plan a little celebration for after school on the first day to make it extra special.
